Soft Cup Bras can be attractive
Some women regardless of age still equate comfort in a bra with no wires. Something that can be worn comfortably for work, particularly where the job involves movement of exercise of a nature where a wired bra may start to rub or become uncomfortable. Although this is often about wearing the wrong size, leading to the wire rubbing or trapping breast tissue, there is still a fan base for soft cup or non wired bras. Yet when we think of a soft cup, the jokes start about wearing granny bras, with the older generation automatically thinking of the Triumph Doreen, which is probably the longest lasting production bra in existence and still showing strong sales.
Yet the reality is that soft cup bras can be attractive and can be feminine, whilst at the same time offering support and that much looked for comfort.
The bra that had me completely fooled was the Modern Comfort Bra, from Bestform. On seeing this bra modelled at a trade show, I thought at first glance it was a pretty underwired bra. You can imagine how surprised I was to find that it was in fact the new unwired bra from Bestform. This bra has an emphasis on feminine styling and attention to detail. Yet at the same time it incorporates excellent support and comfort qualities. It does not look or feel bulky, as many soft cup bras do and has a sexy feel about it.
The self-coloured pin-stripe fabric of the bottom cups, front underband and wings blends beautifully with the pretty lace top cup and lace insets at the centre and side seam.
The 3-section cup and side shaping panel enhance the silhouette. Straps are fully adjustable to suit a broad range of body shapes. The deep underband maximises lift and support and alleviates ride up or roll over.
The bra which is currently available in both white and black, may be the bra that reclaims the soft cup bra for the younger generation
So if you are a fan of soft cup bras, like to wear a non wired bra as an everyday bra, or simply just don't like underwired bras and are not quite ready for the 'granny bra', then this has to be one of the first bras you look at.
